Our seasonal Grandma Taylor Fruitcake made by Granny Chechak is back this year.  Granny Chechak follows a recipe that has been handed down in our family for over a hundred years.  My momma learned to make these cakes as a little girl from her grandmother in their home tucked up in the Appalachian mountains of West Virginia.  Once thought to be lost after Grandma Taylors passing the recipe was luckily rediscovered in an old drawer and the family tradition can carry on.

This is not the supermarket fruitcake you may be accustomed to.  This is the real deal, packed full of fruits, nuts and made to marinate for 2 months in bourbon. Each Fruitcake weighs in at least 2.5 lbs.

Ingredients:  Flour, Butter, Eggs, Sugar, Baking Powder, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Cloves, Molasses, Cherries, Raisins, Dates, Walnuts, Pecans, Candied Lemon, Pineapple and Orange, and Bourbon
